What will you do?

Als Vrachtwagenchauffeur bij Schaap Holland zorg jij ervoor dat onze aardappelen – rechtstreeks van het land of via onze locatie in Biddinghuizen – op een veilige, nette en efficiënte manier bij onze klanten terechtkomen. Jij bent een belangrijke schakel in onze aardappelketen en het visitekaartje van ons familiebedrijf onderweg en bij onze klanten. Je rijdt met name in Nederland, maar ook in Duitsland, België en Noord-Frankrijk. Vanuit telers rijd je met los gestorte aardappelen en richting klanten en distributiecentra rijd je met (gekoelde) aardappelproducten in diverse verpakkingen. Jouw taken bestaan onder andere uit:

  • The safe, damage-free, and orderly loading and unloading of cargo;
  • Checking the cargo, including quality control;
  • Counting containers and filling in the necessary freight and delivery notes;
  • Performing minor maintenance on the truck and reporting any defects;
  • You will work together with the (Assistant) Planner and the Transport Team Leader and will be in contact with suppliers and customers about deliveries and pickups.

What do we offer?

You will be working in a close-knit team of around 25 drivers. No two days are the same—one day you will be driving to growers, the next day you will be delivering fresh produce to our customers at home or abroad. We also offer:

  • Een basissalaris tussen € 2.680 en € 3.215 bruto per maand (op basis van een fulltime contract, 38 uur. Exclusief toeslagen);

  • 38 hours full-time based on 4 working days and 1 day off per week, alternating weekly;

  • Pension accrual, Elective budget, Bicycle scheme, 8% vacation pay, 5 weeks of vacation leave per year (based on a full-time contract);

  • Free potato products;

  • Jaarcontract met intentie om te zetten naar vast dienstverband.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a Class C and E driver's license and Code 95;
  • Some technical knowledge of trucks and minor maintenance;
  • 1 to 5 years of experience as a driver is desirable;
  • You are willing to work in the evenings, including Saturdays and sometimes Sundays;
  • You live in (the vicinity of) Biddinghuizen;
  • Having an affinity with the agricultural sector is an advantage;
  • You are flexible, proactive, and reliable.

We are therefore active in the entire potato chain: through our sorting, packing and peeling company, we supply a wide range of table potatoes and chilled potato products. Under our Poldergoud brand, we supply both foodservice, processing industry, and Retail customers.

We also work closely with breeding companies to develop and market new potato varieties. We are also active as suppliers of seed potatoes and exporters of ware potatoes.
