International Account Manager (40 hours)

What will you do?

As International Account Manager at Schaap Holland, you are responsible for further expanding our sales of seed potatoes on a global level, with a focus on Europe, Africa and the Middle East. You establish contact with new customers, agents and growers and maintain strong relationships with existing partners. You analyze market developments, follow the competition closely and translate your insights into commercial opportunities. In addition, you play an important role in compiling and promoting a high-quality package of varieties, visit (international) customers and help organize variety demos and trial fields. You work closely with colleagues inside and outside the Netherlands and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

  • A salary between €3,600 and €4,600 gross per month (based on a full-time, 40-hour contract)
  • Pension accrual, Elective budget, Bicycle scheme, 8% vacation pay, 5 weeks of vacation leave per year (based on a full-time contract);
  • Free potato products;
  • A good induction program with personal guidance;

  • One-year contract with the intention to convert to permanent employment

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a relevant education at the college level, preferably agricultural related;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a commercial, international environment.
  • Knowledge of (seed) potatoes strongly preferred;
  • Your command of Dutch, English and French is excellent. Additional languages such as German or Italian are nice to have;
  • You are proactive and commercial, independent, stress-resistant and customer-oriented, with strong persuasive skills and a good sense of international markets;
  • Travel is part of this position, so flexibility and a valid B driver's license are essential.

We are a leading potato company from Flevoland, which has been active in the world of potatoes for more than 60 years. The family business has now grown into an organization of 150 driven employees, with the aim of letting the whole world enjoy the potato. We have a passion for potatoes in all their forms!

We are therefore active in the entire potato chain: through our sorting, packing and peeling company, we supply a wide range of table potatoes and chilled potato products. Under our Poldergoud brand, we supply both foodservice, processing industry, and Retail customers.

We also work closely with breeding companies to develop and market new potato varieties. We are also active as suppliers of seed potatoes and exporters of ware potatoes.
