Junior Financial Controller (32–40 hours)

What will you do?

As a Junior Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role within our financial administration team. You’ll ensure that the numbers add up, reports are reliable, and processes are continuously optimized. You’ll work closely with the Financial Manager and your colleagues in financial administration. Your responsibilities will extend beyond processing and verifying data to include analysis and process improvement. In this way, you’ll actively contribute to the quality of our financial processes. Your responsibilities will include:
managing accounts receivable and accounts payable;

  • preparing and reviewing financial reports;
  • assist with monthly, periodic, and quarterly closings;
  • preparing VAT returns (in the Netherlands and abroad);
  • analyzing discrepancies and identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • assist with inventory valuation and financial audits;
  • optimizing administrative processes and reporting.

In this role, you will transition into a more supervisory and analytical position, gaining a deeper understanding of the organization’s financial management.

  • a salary starting at €3,250 gross per month (based on a full-time contract, 40 hours), depending on knowledge and experience;

  • a one-year contract with the intention of converting it to a permanent position.

Who are we looking for?

  • HBO-level education and cognitive ability (preferably in Business Administration or a related field);
  • 2–5 years of relevant work experience in financial administration;
  • Proficiency in Excel (experience with Power BI is a plus);
  • a structured and meticulous approach to work.
