Transport Team Leader (40 hours)

What will you do?

As Transport Team Leader, you are responsible for organizing the transport of our potatoes and potato products in an efficient and reliable manner. Together with your team, you ensure that raw materials and products arrive at the right place on time: from growers to our production sites and from our sites to customers both domestically and internationally. You will lead a team of approximately 25 drivers and work closely with the Transport Planner and Assistant Planner. You will oversee transport planning, ensure efficient staff deployment, and serve as the point of contact for colleagues, customers, and suppliers regarding transport and logistics. In this role, your responsibilities will also include:

  • managing the vehicle fleet and organizing maintenance;
  • ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and occupational health and safety regulations within the department;
  • analyzing transportation data and improving processes.

Thanks to your oversight and leadership, our transportation processes continue to run smoothly.

  • A starting salary of €3,750 gross per month (based on a full-time contract, 40 hours), depending on knowledge and experience;

Who are we looking for?

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • a degree in logistics (at least an associate's degree in logistics);
  • preferably a professional degree in transportation planning;
  • at least 5 years of experience in a logistics environment;
  • strong organizational and communication skills.
